The Abus Taipan LED bike helmet is an excellent choice for rides where asphalt and dirt roads alternate: It combines the speed of a racing helmet with the robustness needed for gravel adventures. Thanks to the integrated light and excellent ventilation, you will hit the road feeling safe at any time of the day and fresh on any surface.
Technology
At the core of this helmet is the In-mould process, whereby the shock-absorbing inner layer is moulded directly into the sturdy outer shell to ensure a strong connection and a weight of around 295g in size M. The inside features floating padding that snaps into place at various points and provides a flexible fit as well as pleasant airflow around your head. The inner shape has been widened to create room for thicker padding, which significantly increases comfort on long rides on bumpy trails.

Visibility is a big plus thanks to the magnetic rear light that is easily charged with a USB-C cable. The light has 4 different modes and is splashproof to IP44 standard, keeping you highly visible even in the rain. The helmet has a special holder at the front for safe and aerodynamic storage of your sunglasses when you are not wearing them. At the back, the adjustment system includes an opening through which a ponytail or braid can be pulled, so the helmet is always secure and comfortable on your head.
